Michelle Klein was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 12, 1989 and moved to Long Island at age three. In Brooklyn she contracted a virus known as Coxsackie which causes coldsores on the lips and nose. The virus was active in her up until age 13 when it finally lay dormant. At age 16 and a half she contracted mononucleosis and the Coxsackie virus was reactivated, thus causing her to become very ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
She has been debilitated by the illness for the past five years but has managed to graduate from high school and go on to college. She is currently in her fourth year of college and should be graduating in a year or two with a bachelors degree in sociology.

She enjoys reading, writing, history, visiting historical places, spreading awareness of CFS, watching T.V., and shopping. Before becoming ill she also enjoyed acting, going to the beach, hanging out with friends, going out, taking walks and bike riding, and laying out in the sun. She can no longer can do those things due to CFS though.
She is very excited to be publishing this book which she has been working on for the past two years. It will be published in September 2011. |
